- 1 在摩押平原、約但河濱、耶利哥相對之處、耶和華諭摩西曰、
- 2 命以色列族於其所得之業、以邑與郊予利未人、
- 3 其邑爲民居處、其郊爲置牛羊牲畜物產之所、
- 4 所予利未人者、邑垣而外、四周一千肘爲郊、
- 5 邑外之地、東西南北、各量二千肘、邑在其中、此卽邑之郊也、
- 6 所予利未人之邑、其中有逃城六、使誤殺人者可遁於彼、此外又予邑四十有二、
- 7 所予利未人之邑與郊、共四十有八、
- 8 以色列族所得之業、必視邑之多寡、以予利未人、邑多則所予者多、邑寡則所予者寡、各循所得之業而予焉、○
- 9 耶和華諭摩西曰、
- 10 告以色列族云、汝渡約但、入於迦南、
- 11 必簡邑爲逃城、使誤殺人者可遁於彼、
- 12 此邑爲避復仇者之所、俾誤殺人者不致死亡、俟見鞫於會衆、
- 13 逃城必有其六、
- 14 約但東三、迦南地三、
- 15 此六邑、爲以色列族、及旅於其中者之避所、凡誤殺人者、可遁於彼、
- 16 若以鐵器擊人至死、是爲故殺、故殺人者殺毋赦、
- 17 若以石擊人至死、是爲故殺、故殺人者殺毋赦、
- 18 若以木器擊人至死、是爲故殺、故殺人者殺毋赦、
- 19 故殺人者、復仇者必殺之、遇卽殺之、
- 20 若蓄怨而仆人、或潛伏而以物擲人至死、
- 21 或因憾而手擊人至死、是爲故殺、故殺人者殺毋赦、復仇者遇卽殺之、
- 22 如無釁隙、而猝然刺人、或非潛伏、而以物擲人、
- 23 或未之見、而以石擲人至死、本非結讎、亦非加害、
- 24 則會衆必於殺人復仇者之間、循例而剖析、
- 25 救誤殺人者、脫於復仇者之手、使遁逃城以居、待受聖膏之祭司長終焉、
- 26 如誤殺人者出逃城之境、
- 27 復仇者在邑外、遇而殺之、則無流血之罪、
- 28 緣彼當居逃城、待祭司長死、祭司長旣死、殺人者返其故土可也、
- 29 於爾所居之地、此爲律例、歷世弗替、
- 30 故殺人者、有人爲證、必殺毋赦、但證人惟一則不可、
- 31 故殺人者、不得以金贖其命、必殺毋赦、
- 32 遁於逃城者、祭司長未死之先、不可取其贖金、使歸故土、
- 33 如是、則不汚爾所居之地、蓋流人血、乃汚其地、非流殺人者之血、則無以潔之、
- 34 我耶和華居以色列族中、勿汚爾土、我所處者、
